Literally on the international map for nearly 500 years, the Cape Fear region is steeped in history, with ties to virtually every important American era from the first wave of settlers to the Civil War. Always renowned as an important port for the southern states, the myriad of stories to be found in the Cape Fear region truly span the centuries, and provide fascinating insight into this unique coastal community.
Sunset Beach is a unique little North Carolina coastal destination that encompasses both mainland and barrier island terrain, and is located just a seashell's throw from the South Carolina border. Despite its proximity to larger destinations like Wilmington, NC to the north and Myrtle Beach, SC to the south, the community has never lost its small town charm, and its decidedly beachy atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for laid back vacationers who want to soak up the salt, the sun, and the endless ocean views.
We are located one mile from the beach. There are many things to do on the island such as eateries, stores, ice cream and coffee stores, many miles of beach to walk and discover. The apartment is located on the bottom part of our beach home. Private entrance is supplied. The indoor bathroom does not include a shower but there is an outside shower that feels excellent, is enclosed, both hot and cold water. The cove includes a living room area with a TV, kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and toaster oven. All silverware, plates, etc. are supplied. The bedroom is cavernous with a dresser and a double bed and air conditioning. Very private and peaceful. The bathroom includes a sink and toilet, as mentioned the outside shower is great and is the ultimate in the beach experience.
