Get ready for an event that will have you dancing the night away at this special affair that is celebrating its 13th year in 2025. The East Coast Shag Classic is a celebration of classic and North Carolina-based beach music and dancing with a host of events that range from raffles to social mixers to concerts to keep everyone entertained and on the dance floor.

Shag is a classic North and South Carolina style of dancing that goes perfectly with bare feet and beach music, and at this event, there will be plenty of great music and good times to go around. Multiple concerts will be held over the weekend by famous beach music bands, such as The Band of Oz, BlackWater Band, and The Catalina’s, just to name a few. There will be free shag and dance lessons for newcomers, as well as a host of additional activities including social hour mixers, bingo, raffles, beach walks, and much more. With all events taking place at the Courtyard by Mariott in Carolina Beach, the East Coast Shag Classic is a great excuse to put on your flip-flops and head to the Cape Fear coastline for a full weekend of fun.
