Island of Lights: Lighting at the Lake

The Island of Lights: Lighting at the Lake celebration lives up to its name as the official light-up ceremony that starts a long season of celebration in Carolina Beach and miles beyond.

The Island of Lights: Lighting at the Lake event takes place at the centrally located Carolina Beach Lake Park, and attendees can look forward to a wealth of entertainment in addition to the official flipping of the switch for the annual light display. Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the event features musical entertainment, an Honor Guard display, and the National Anthem, followed by the event's grand namesake, the "Lighting of the Lake."
