Veer just outside of the heart of Downtown Wilmington and you’ll discover Jester’s Café – a fun and funky café that specializes in traditional breakfast and lunch fare with a twist. Decked out in vibrant colors, and manned by friendly staff, Jester’s Café is an entertaining and filling spot to fuel up for a full day in the Port City.
The menu is divvied up into brunch and lunch cuisine, and both mealtimes have their own distinctive and delicious dishes to choose from. Breakfast fans can sample the classics like breakfast sandwiches and egg plates, or can try something a little unusual like the black bean benedict, the French toast casserole, or the delightfully savory strata with layers of sausage, cheddar cheese, and hash browns. Lunch patrons will be treated to equally extensive and filling options, such as the smoked chicken salad sandwich, the chicken bacon cheddar ranch melt, or the French onion dip. Both brunch and lunch patrons will have the chance to try the quiche of the day – a local favorite – as well as a variety of home baked desserts.
Always flavorful and just a little unique, Jester’s Café is a fine way to start a full day of culinary exploring in food-obsessed Downtown Wilmington.

Bald Head Island, a roughly 5 square mile southern North Carolina barrier island that extends into the Atlantic Ocean, may be a small and secluded island destination, but it makes up for its size with a world of exclusive and elite vacation style.
Fort Anderson, also known as Brunswick Town, is the historic site of the first permanent settlement in the Cape Fear area. Established nearly 300 years ago in 1726, and destroyed just a few decades later by British Soldiers during the start of the Revolutionary War in 1776, visitors can still explore the ancient ruins of this long-gone civilization and enjoy a glimpse into the area’s centuries-deep roots.
