Getting the best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • To find the best rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfect Cape Fear area rental:

  • Choose dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. 079 Tree House by Sunset Vacations has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. Otherwise, email or call the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
