Our top Cape Fear area rental property booking tips:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. 3-bed, 2.5 bathroom, Downtown Front St. Wilmington With Off Street Parking Lot has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. Otherwise, email the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
