How to book the best vacation home experience:

When to visit Wrightsville Beach & When to book:

  • Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best vacation home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. 8 Channel Ave A - Perfect location with sound front views. Sleeps 10. has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is best for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area attraction you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
