About this Property

  • Sleeps 9
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home

Summary:
The first story of a three story structure, this 3 bed 2 bath home is light, modern and airy.

Hosted by Abundance Vacation Units, staying here is a dream: beachfront vistas and access to the shore by our structure’s private boardwalk with foot hose, outdoor shower and benches.

You will have the ocean out front and the lake with farmers market, paddle boats and playground out back.

We even have a kid’s play home swing and slide on the sand.

The Space:
You have full use of the first floor home. It is completely self contained. There is another unit that occupies the upper two floors, and they will share the parking below the home and the boardwalk out to the ocean.

Guest Access:
You have full access to the first floor home and porch. There is a striking kid’s play area on the sand below the boardwalk with slide, swing and clubhouse. That is available to everybody in the home. There are full laundry facilities inside the home. You may also store your boards, bicycles and beach chairs below the home in the carport.

The Neighborhood:
We are walking distance to just about everything on the island — a big fireworks display can be seen every Thursday nighttime right from the deck!
There is a weekly craft and farmers market as well as outdoor family movie projections, bingo nights outdoors at the boardwalk, live music... and so much more available by a short walk down the beach.

A brand new play structure has been installed by the lake which is a short walk and viewable from the back windows.

There are private surf and paddle board lessons as well as week long camps also just a short walk down the sand. We are so ideally located, but without the heavy hordes of the hotels.

You can also walk or bicycle to eateries and coffee stores.

We try to keep our calendar refreshed, but Airbnb only lets us work with exactly 365 days at a time. So if you are booking far in advance, please keep in mind that for the middle of summer there may be a seven day limit and Saturday check in and check out will still apply — just send me a fast note and I’ll get back to you.

Other Things to Note:
We also supply the following for each property:
A starter kit of one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and dish soap. We also supply laundered bed linens, comforters, and 1 bathing towel and wash cloth per person. We do not supply any beach gear or beach towel. We have great rental companies on the island we would be more than happy to share the info with you. We also do not supply laundry detergent, body soap or shampoo/conditioner as we find everybody has their own preferences for these =) Please review our home rules prior to your stay

Tips for getting the perfect rental home experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning and picking the perfectrental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Abundance in the Sand: one story, modern and clean has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
