Summary:
Oceanfront bungalow with enormous front porch feet from the crashing waves!

Brought to you by Abundance Vacation Units a boutique rental agency. We are close by and available for any needs.

Three bedrooms and one bathroom (plus an outdoor hot shower with privacy), each room has its own climate control to keep everybody comfortable.

You’ll be just two blocks from the northside pier which has its own outdoor tiki bar with live music!

The Space:
This entire gorgeous beach bungalow is for your use only! We freshly replaced and repaired the bathroom to address previous guest’s concerns. A sizable deck overlooking the ocean complete with table and chairs and lounge chairs, plus an outdoor shower down on the garage level! Below the home there is plenty of parking for four enormous cars. RVs can also be accommodated.

Guest Access:
Plenty of parking, an outdoor shower, a humongous deck, a fire pit in the sand and a calming porch swing and seating area in the shade under the deck, all the sand out front… Not to mention the home!

We are walking distance to just about everything on the island — a big fireworks display can be seen every Thursday nighttime right from the deck!
There is a weekly craft and farmers market as well as outdoor family movie projections, bingo nights outdoors at the boardwalk, live music... and so much more available by a short walk down the beach.

A brand new play structure has been installed by the lake which is a short walk and viewable from the back windows.

There are private surf and paddle board lessons as well as week long camps also just a short walk down the sand. We are so ideally located, but without the heavy hordes of the hotels.

You can also walk or bicycle to eateries and coffee stores.

We try to keep our calendar refreshed, but Airbnb only lets us work with exactly 365 days at a time. So if you are booking far in advance, please keep in mind that for the middle of summer there may be a seven day limit and Saturday check in and check out will still apply — just send me a fast note and I’ll get back to you.

The Neighborhood:
The Carolina Beach fishing pier is just a few homes to the North. The pier is home to tiki bar, live music, and a modest restaurant.

The access to Freeman Park is also just two blocks away! With a pass you can take your 4 Wheel Drive car onto the pristine sands, set up chairs, fish and appreciate the vistas. Most years fires are allowed in Freeman Park, but I have heard that the summer of 2021 they will not be accepting fires.

There are coffee stores, eateries, cafés, bicycle units, surfboard units, surfing schools, live music venues, the boardwalk, the famed Britts Donuts... The list goes on and on, and all of these things are within a short bicycle ride of the home. You could also rent a golf cart! That makes even grocery shopping fun.

Getting Around:
Most people bring their cars or rent one at the airport, But another fun alternative is to take a taxi or Uber from the airport and rent a golf cart on the island from SunFun units! You can also rent bicycles or bring your own... or just walk down the beach!

Other Things to Note:
The home is oceanfront, with an unobstructed view north and south also. Do note that there are huge boulders for purposes of keeping down erosion (as seen in the photos). The boulders are between the yard and the beach, so to access the wider sandy beach, guests will walk two tons to the south and use the public access.

Animals are allowed on the property ONLY after agreement with host and pet fee is paid, otherwise any animals are a breech if guest contract and guests will be asked to leave as per Airbnb guidelines.

There is a Beach re-nourishment done in Carolina and Kure beach every 3 years. This helps to keep our beaches safe from erosion. Please note that we have no control over this project and that it is normally concluded by May, but there is a possibility of delays.

Interaction with Guests:
Your host is available for questions via text, and most of the time is only 2 miles away, so I can effortlessly come and help in the event of any confusion or problems. Please reach out with any concerns upon arrival. We want you to have a five star stay and can swing by to fix anything that might have been overlooked by the cleaning staff.

Tricks and tips to get the optimal Cape Fear area vacation home experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. To find the best value, shift your family's Cape Fear area vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select vacation week and budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Abundance on the rocks Oceanfront Villa has 4 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area attraction you crave, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
