Tips to get the perfect Cape Fear area rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Cape Fear area attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting and booking the perfect Cape Fear area rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Attractive, Beachfront Family Home w\/Private Pool Table, Free WiFi, AC, & W\/D has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
