Getting the best Holden Beach rental home experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect rental home in Holden Beach:
- Select dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Hobbs Realty - \"Paradise Cove\" Beautiful spacious oceanfront beach home with a large saltwater pool has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If not, call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
More considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
