Humble By The Sea is a splendid traditional-style beach bungalow located in the West Beach area of Oak Island. It has gorgeous wood floors throughout and is brand new for the 2019/2020 season with a complete update inside and out. Updating includes new kitchen, electrical, plumbing, floors, walls, linens, artwork, etc. Luxurious details, a nautical theme, and soft grey décor with white trim give this home a relaxing, comfortable ambiance.

The ground level offers covered parking and one enclosed hot/cold outside shower with a changing area. All rooms are located on the main level, including a kitchen and living room in the main living area, two full bathrooms, and four bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and there are two twin roll-away beds if needed.

How to get the best rental home value:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer is high season in Oak Island. To find the largest rental for your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Cape Fear area attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses.   • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback.
