Booking the best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

When to book a Cape Fear area rental & When to go:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick a perfect Cape Fear area rental:

  • Choose your dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Charming townhouse with beautiful ocean views and only steps to the beach! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. Otherwise, contact the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
