Our top Carolina Beach rental property booking tips:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your search:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Coastal Condo Close to EVERYTHING! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

More considerations:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
