Tips and Tricks to get the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To get the best value, try changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. CottageVacations4u \"Lighthouse\" -elevator-pool club-dog friendly-incredible views has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
