Strategies for getting the best Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Start by having your group choose dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Driftwood cottage, close to beach & cb lake has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your group.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
