Ocean Isle Beach vacation rental tips:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • To get the best value, try changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

How to pick the best rental home:

  • Select your vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. East End OIB- Let in the Sun has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, call the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
