Tips to get the best vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. To find the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best vacation home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • First and foremost, have your family choose vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Family and fun awaits you at our Tee Time Sunset Beach house!! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
