Tips to get the optimal Cape Fear area rental home experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Geneva Too: Beautifully furnished Oceanfront home with 2 oceanfront covered porc has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.

Tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
