We offer a entirely equipped kitchen for preparing family meals and installed a REVERSE OSMOSIS (RO) water filtration system for chemical complimentary drinking water & ice. There are numerous coffee stores within 2 blocks and our Keurig coffee pot with organic pods are furnished so you can also savor a cup of coffee in our handsome gardens.

In addition to Central Heat/AC, all rooms have ceiling fans, window blinds & Intelligent TV's (65"/50"/32"), Nest speakers & digital antenna; no cable tv. Our private home is on one level; no stairs.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: The Abbey, once home for clergy of the neighboring church, is generally a peaceful neighborhood. We provide Yoga sleep sound machines (made here in Wilmington) but should you have noise sensitivities, please prepare accordingly and bring noise cancelling air buds or consider a rental outside of the central business district. Wilmington restricts excessive noise after12 midnight Friday & Saturday and after 11 pm Sunday > Thursday. We are not responsible nor offer refunds for city sounds.

About the Area

Located on a river, this vacation home is in Downtown Wilmington, a neighborhood in Wilmington. Burgwin-Wright House and Latimer House are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Children's Museum of Wilmington and Magnolia Greens Golf Plantation. Cape Fear Museum and Wilmington Railroad Museum are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for water adventures such as motor boating.

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Wilmington. To get the best rental for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses.   • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective.
