John's Crab Shack is waiting to help you create a calming vacation full of cherished memories. Appreciate yourself under the shady oaks of the fenced-in backyard. Load up the beach cart and walk over the tidal creek to the elegant beach or try your hand at surf fishing. Unwind on the beach under our shibumi shade. No need to buy, rent, or bring your own as we provide one for you. Wash the sand from your feet in the private hot and cold outdoor shower. Put an umbrella in your drink and grab a book as you relax on the backyard deck. Whip up a gourmet meal in the well-outfitted kitchen or grille out on the back-yard deck. For a rainy day, John's Crab Shack comes equipped with plenty of games, puzzles, and books to keep the whole family entertained. If that is not enough, then take a short drive to historic Southport to visit museums, art galleries, historic homes and then dine in one of Southport's many impressive restaurant . For day trips, historic downtown Wilmington is only 40 mins., Myrtle Beach is an painless 1 hour drive or take a spectacular ferry ride to exclusive Bald Head Island. There is also a convenience store just one block away on the way to the beach. A public floating dock 5 streets away and a public fishing dock 6 streets away.
