Our top Cape Fear area rental home booking tips:

Finding your best deal:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Wilmington. To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Choosing the best rental home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Begin by selecting a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. La Pension in Carolina Place - Spacious 1 Bed 1 Bath Garden Retreat- Sleeps 2! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your family.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your invoice.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
