With elevator access to all floors, this elegant home can accommodate your entire family!

The first level is dedicated entirely to common living space. Parlor together in the living room to appreciate a favorite movie on the enormous, wall-mounted, flat-screen TV. The sturdy dining table seats eight effortlessly for home-cooked meals or a friendly round of cards. The close by breakfast bar provides seating for another five as well as exceptional vistas of the crashing surf. Gleaming stone countertops and tile backsplash create an inviting kitchen space, supplied with everything you need to prepare traditional family recipes or the catch of the day. A half bath is also located on this level for your convenience, with the laundry closet containing a stackable washer and dryer on the opposite side of the hall.

The next two stories provide three bedrooms and two full bathrooms on each floor. Every bedroom has its own T.V. for entertainment, and all bedrooms except the bunk room also have direct deck access. At the top of the staircase on the second floor, you’ll find the first king bedroom featuring an attached private bath with a step-in shower. On the west side of the home, you’ll find a full bathroom with a standard tub/shower combo, double sinks and hall access shared between the other two bedrooms on this floor. One of these rooms is furnished with a king bed. The third room may be utilized either as a bedroom or as a second living area thanks to the queen sleeper couch, additional-huge TV and wine refrigerator located here.

The layout of the third floor is nearly the same as the second, with an identical king bedroom and attached private bath at the top of the staircase. The other two bedrooms on this floor again share access to a hall bath, with one of these rooms featuring a king bed. The final bedroom is the bunk room, complete with two twin-over-twin bunk beds. The sliding door in this room has been converted to function as a window only, so you don’t need to worry about little ones escaping to the deck without supervision.

On the ground level, the private pool provides a welcome spot to cool off without the need to navigate rolling waves. Entirely fenced, the pool area is complete with comfortable lounge chairs and a stone fire pit. A hammock waits just outside the gates, strung between pilings under the shade of the home. The shared public beach access one home to the west is comfortably reached via the street side of the home, but please note that the beach cannot be directly accessed from the pool area. Feeling hungry? Several eateries sit within painless walking distance of this home, including oceanfront dining options.

Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Oak Island rental experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Cape Fear area vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Choose your dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Lighthouse: Oceanfront with Pool and Elevator Near Fishing Pier has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Know before you go:

  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective.
