Sea Trail, a neighborhood in Sunset Beach, is home to this condo. Finding the best value:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summertime is high season in Sunset Beach. To find the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
