Not what you would expect from a typical beach property. Bald Head Island is a unique island with Live Oaks, palmettos, Spanish Moss, white sandy beaches, and a beautiful golf course with lagoons, palm trees, that is completely landscaped. We have been searching for a Luxury home that blends all these aspects of the island, and finally found it. This 4000 square foot home with 5 bedrooms is located on the 8th green, with distant vistas and sounds of the ocean, all while being located on the edge of the forest. We have added a private pool and hot tub off the master suite. For security and safety reasons we have added outdoor nest cameras. We also have 1 four person golf cart and 6 person cart for your use. Once you arrive on the island after a excellent 20 min ferry ride (don't forget to book the ferry to & from the island when you book your reservation) all the stresses of the world are gone. Only golf carts and bicycles (we have 4) are allowed on the island. We also have a third golf cart for rent for $500 per week if needed.

About the Area

Located in Bald Head Island, this vacation home is next to a golf course and by the sea. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center. Finding your perfect rental:

• The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Bald Head Island. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
• Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
• Booking websites typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
