Rental property booking tips:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • To book the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Cape Fear area restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to pick the best vacation home in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your group decide on the best dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Makin' Memories! New Owner, New Name, New Management has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon check in. message the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
