You will adore everything Timbercreek 18A has to offer for your vacation to Bald Head Island. Besides the comfortable accommodations and the impressive creek vistas, you have access to one of the few private pools on the island and our Timbercreek dock. Our rental is available for 7 nighttime stays from Sunday to Sunday from early June through the last week of August. Not as many nights required during the off summer season. Feel complimentary to use our two kayaks to discover the creek. The dock also accepts for crabbing and fishing just steps from the condo. We provide two golf carts for exploring the island and for simple access to the beach of course!

There is a garage that stores one of the golf carts, beach amenities, and a full size washer and dryer. All Timbercreek buildings consist of two properties. The A unit is the top floor, the B unit is the middle floor and the garages are on the base floor. The buildings are generously spaced apart so you can appreciate sitting on the outdoor screened in porch. We have comfortable patio seating for 6-7 guests.

You have the option to purchase a weekly membership to the Bald Head Island Club for access to their pools, tennis courts, eateries, and golf course.

About the Area

Bald Head Island is home to this condo. Kent Mitchell Nature Trail and The Clubs at St. James are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center. With kayaking, motor boating, and surfing/body boarding nearby, you'll find plenty of adventures in the water.

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Bald Head Island. Book your rental home in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home.
