Tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book the right Cape Fear area rental:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. 0511 Coral Sunrise by Atlantic Towers has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area destination you simply love, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
