Tips to get the perfect Cape Fear area vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. To book the best rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Cape Fear area attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the perfect rental in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your family select date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Ocean Front Beach Complex\/ Unit B-3\/ Beach Villas\/ Book Early For 2023 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If not, email the property management company before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area beach you simply love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Know before you go:

  • Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • During arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
