Tricks and tips to get the very best rental experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Book your Cape Fear area rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the perfect vacation home in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Ocean View Condo! Perfect for Families\/Golfers\/Groups! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
