SPECTACULAR vistas, STUNNING home, OUTSTANDING location...

Savor ocean/riverfront panoramas and captivating marina vistas at this BHI getaway- steps from the beach, via a private walk. Located in the Harbour community, this four bedroom, 4.5 bath reverse floor plan's first level offers three bedrooms- each with its own well-appointed en-suite. The generous King features marina perspectives; the second bedroom comfortably accommodates two Queens and offers back porch access. The bunk room, which sleeps four, also opens onto the back porch where one can watch ships, play outdoor billiards or step onto the sand. This floor also homes a theatre-quality media room and laundry.

At the top of the sleek, floating steps, your jaw will drop at all the natural light and water vistas shining through this level's open floor plan, three walls of windows and accentuated by the soaring vaulted ceiling. At one end of this story is the generous dining space, surrounded on two sides by sweeping seascapes. The cavernous living area is adjacent and anchored by a fireplace. Beyond, the gourmet kitchen-boasting two walls of seaway tableaus- is equipped with professional grade stainless appliances, a wet bar and a sizable butler's pantry. Its bespoke limestone seagrass island offers breakfast bar seating and there's an additional high-top.

If al fresco is your preference, step outside onto another covered porch. This 30'x 20' expanse tenders the calming sounds of waves lapping the close by shore from its dining set for eight, its high-top for four and its conversation area. For the young (or adventuresome), metal rungs on this level offer the means to climb to a third-story sleeping loft-a ''secret'' space with two day beds and tv, ideal for kids (but not little kids – caution should be exercised).

On the front side of the floor is a very private Grandiose King Master suite whose three rooms include a bedroom with sitting area, a considerable dressing hall and an oversize, spa-like bath. All of these open onto the top front deck overlooking the wharf.

Vacation rental home tips:

Finding the best value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront 5 bedroom located in Harbour Village on Bald Head Island has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, email the host before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Upon arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
