The main, middle floor welcomes you to the kitchen finished with stainless steel appliances to go along with white countertops and cabinets. While you are making dinner you can still appreciate the view of the beach through the multitude of windows that provide natural light into the kitchen and dining area. The dining area, that offers seating for 12 feeds into the living room where you will find an additional table ideal for four other guests to savor their meal or for a game of cards. The sizable sectional provides a comfortable spot to watch a movie on the flat screen TV or see the waves crashing on the beach. The master bedroom flows off the living space and invites you to a king bed, private bathroom, flat screen TV and vistas of the ocean!

The oceanfront deck opens off the dining room and provides a ideal spot for a cup of coffee in the morning as you watch the pelican glide by towards the Oceancrest Pier.

The third level presents a seating area with a couch that is great for an afternoon nap along with three additional bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms feature two queen beds, respectively, and share a guest bathroom across the balcony. The other bedroom features a king bed, a private bathroom, a flat screen TV and top floor vistas of the beach through the windows.

The lower level is the ideal getaway for the kids or an overall great spot to have some fun with your group once your time in the sun is over. The huge sectional and accent chair are centered around the flat screen TV. A card table and foosball table offer countless hours of fun and laughs. Our top Rental property booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • To find the best value, change your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by having your family choose dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses: Oceanfront House on East Beach, Oak Island has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas during arrival. message the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
