NSS technicians use electrostatic sprayers and Dept. of Defense approved foggers to apply a Hypochlorous acid solution that is non-toxic and environmentally safe while at the same time kills COVID-19 and other viruses and pathogens. It is a hospital-grade disinfectant that is 80 to 100 times more effective than bleach with none of the chemical side effects. Hypochlorous acid is on the EPA approved list to kill COVID-19.

Strategies to get the very best Cape Fear area rental home experience:

When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental & When to go:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation home in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing and booking the bestrental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. OIB, The Islander Villas, Rates include Linens\/Towels! Walk to Beach! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, email the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is right for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
