How to book the best Holden Beach vacation home experience:

Finding the best value:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the best vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Choosing the best vacation home in Holden Beach:

  • Choose a group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. \"Our Little SEAcret\" 5 Bedroom 3.5 Bathroom Home with a Pool! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
