How to book the best Holden Beach vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Holden Beach. To book the most suitable rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking a perfect Cape Fear area rental:

  • Select vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Our Sand Dune - Traditional Oceanfront Cottage - Covered Oceanfront Porlches! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
