Getting the best Bald Head Island vacation home experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • Booking in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.

How to select the perfect rental in the Cape Fear area area:

  • To start, have your group choose a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Panoramic Ocean Views & Stunning Sunsets has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your family.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area beach you are crazy about, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. text the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
