Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Cape Fear area rental home experience:

When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental home & When to go:

  • Summer is high season in Holden Beach. Reserve your vacation in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfect Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • Select vacation week and budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Hobbs Realty - Rest in \"Kingry Hideaway\" a lovely four-bedroom oceanfront home just steps away from the ocean has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
