Our bungalow features an inviting open floor plan, where the kitchen seamlessly flows into the living area, making it the ideal gathering spot for your family and friends before and after your beach adventures. You can relax on the roomy sectional or gather around the farmhouse table for meals and games. With four bedrooms, including two master suites, and two additional bedrooms sharing a third bath, our home is ideal for two young families or for bringing along grandparents. Sleeping arrangements include three queen beds and a bunk room with a twin over full bunk bed. LINENS ARE NOT PROVIDED, but we will be happy to supply a list of linen units in the area. Each bedroom is equipped with its own TV for added convenience.

The bungalow features enchanting coastal colors and décor throughout, creating a cheerful and casual ambiance. All of our bathrooms have been completely refreshed with modern vanities and striking tile work.

Appreciate the cavernous front porch that spans the entire length of the home, offering a ideal spot to listen to the relaxing waves or people watch year-round. The back porch provides a pretty view of the canal, adding to the appeal of our coastal getaway. And yes, we're pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry family members along for the fun!

For those looking to discover the area, our bungalow is conveniently located on Main and 6th, just a short walk from stores and the delicious Sunset Slush in the heart of the island. To the east, you can try your hand at surf fishing while gazing out at Ocean Isle Beach. Venture west beyond 40th Street, and you'll find yourself on the pristine and undeveloped Bird Island Preserve, home to the beloved Kindred Spirit mailbox, cherished by generations of Sunset Beach residents and visitors.

If you're in the mood for more adventure, the mainland offers an abundance of golf courses, eateries, grocery stores, and opportunities for kayak tours and units. You can even experience a thrilling Zipline Swamp Tour! Head down to Calabash for riverfront dining, additional stores, or venture further to Little River and beyond.

Our bungalow is the ideal coastal escape, offering a blend of vintage charm, modern amenities, and a fantastic location to create lasting memories with your appreciated ones. And with two outdoor showers, there's no need to call dibs – everybody can appreciate a exhilarating rinse after a day at the beach. Our top Vacation rental booking tips:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Sunset Beach. To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Make a plan and pick the best Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • To start, have your group choose dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Second Row, Canal View, Pet Friendly: Your Perfect Beach Getaway! \n\n\n\n has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or applied to your contract.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
