How to book the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental & When to go:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Carolina Beach. Reserve your Cape Fear area vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best vacation home in Carolina Beach:

  • Start by choosing the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Sound Veiw is a quaint cottage two blocks from the beach! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area beach you love, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • During arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
