Our top Rental property booking tips:

Get the best value:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Wrightsville Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the perfect rental home:

  • Start by having your family agree to a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Spacious Townhome in the heart of Wrightsville Beach has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or applied to your contract.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area destination you crave, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
