Wrightsville Beach rental home tips and tricks:

When to go & When to reserve a Wrightsville Beach rental home:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Cape Fear area area. Book your Cape Fear area vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing your prefect Cape Fear area rental home:

  • To start, have your family agree to trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Station One - 2D- Oceanfront condo community pool, tennis, beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area attraction you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
