Appreciate your vacation in this handsome 3 bedroom/2 bath upper-level home that is located is the heart of OKI. Just a short walk to multiple area eateries and stores and three blocks (8-10 min. walk) from the beach.

NOTE: There is a separate ground-floor studio apartment (NOT included) that may be occupied by other guests. We do enforce peaceful hours for the comfort of all our guests.

Prepare gourmet meals in the home's striking, well-outfitted kitchen with bespoke cabinets and granite countertops.

Savor the sounds of birds and the ocean while you relax on the screened in porch.

If you want to get some fresh air and exercise, use the included bicycles to discover the island and discover it's beauty.
If you bring a boat, there's plenty of room to park. You are welcome to use the lockable garage to secure your fishing gear overnight, and there is a drop cord and electrical outlet outside to charge your batteries.

Self-check-in with keyless entry. Work or play using the high-speed wireless internet, or spend a day on the beach with complimentary beach chairs and beach toys!

Access to entire home and shared access to the garage, bicycles, firepit, yard and driveway areas.

As your host, we are committed to exceeding your expectation for an delightful stay in gorgeous Oak Island. We are very responsive and always available to help with any questions or issues that may arise.

Oak Island is a low-key place to relax and appreciate time away from the hustle and bustle. The neighborhood is peaceful, and just three blocks to direct beach access. Most of the homes in the area are full-time residents, and everybody here is very welcoming and friendly!

We are just 15 min. drive from historic Southport, where "Safe Haven" and other films were based.

There are multiple ocean-front eateries on the island, and plenty to do, including golf, putt-putt & arcade, skydiving, and more. Go shopping or drop your boat in for a day of fishing at one of the boat launches on the island.

Walking or cycling is a great way to get fresh air and a little exercise at the same time. There are tons of eateries, stores and shopping within a 5-8 min. walk. If you want to discover a little further, driving works well, or call a taxi or an Uber on the island.

FAMILY PETS
Family Animals are welcome!! There is a non-returnable pet fee of $75 that covers up to 2 (two) dogs, max size 60 lbs.
**Note: For the sake of guests in the lower unit, please do not bring dogs that are prone to barking.

Linens (sheets, towels, washcloths) are supplied in the price!

TECHNOLOGY:
- Intelligent TVs are supplied with access to Netflix/Hulu, etc. Simply sign into your own account.
- High-Speed Wifi is included.
- A washer/dryer is available for your use (complimentary) in the laundry room.

HEATING/COOLING
Central heating & AC is supplied. Guests may adjust the thermostat to their liking.

PARKING:
Parking is available in the driveway for up to TWO cars. Please park only on the LEFT side of the driveway, and do not block the driveway or parking spot for the "Under the Sea" lower unit for other guests.
Additional cars can park along the street as needed. Always keep your car locked at all times.

A modest desk area is located in living room area for travelers who require workspace; guests would simply need to bring their own computer to plug in. WiFi is included.

SOUNDS:
While here, you may hear:
- Ocean waves
- Renters below your unit (your floor is their ceiling) Because of this, we do ask that all guests are mindful of peaceful hours (10 p.m. - 8 a.m.)
We have supplied sound machines in case any of these noises are bothersome for light sleepers.

SAFETY NOTES:
1. This home is NOT infant-proofed. (I do not have outlet blockers, no furnishings is strapped to walls, stairs do not have gates, there are no safety locks on cabinets, etc.) Some windows are low to the ground where curious kids could comfortably get out. Kids must be accompanied by adults at all times, and guests are responsible for the safety of their kids.
2. Guest are required to climb a full flight of stairs to get into the unit.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
While we are happy to welcome guests of all backgrounds, we will only be accepting booking requests from:

- AirBnB users who are "verified" and who already have multiple positive reviews from other hosts. (A entirely returnable $300 security deposit is required from guests who have no reviews. The $300 is returned once the cleaning crew confirms there are no damages, and the apartment is in good condition.)
- Renters that are above the age of 25.
- A max. of 8 guests per reservation. Extra guests are not allowed.
- We value the relationship with our neighbors and fellow renters, so events/gathering/events are not to be held by guests. In order to keep the unit in superb condition for future guests and to respect guests in the downstairs unit, we am firm on these rules. I apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

While we do tend to be a “hands off” host, we will be available via messaging/phone should you need anything.
