Tips to get the best Cape Fear area vacation home experience:

When to book a Cape Fear area rental home & When to go:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in Ocean Isle Beach. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the right Cape Fear area rental:

  • To start, have your family choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. \"Three Little Birds\" Canal home with boat dock has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area beach you are enamored with, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. text the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
