Booking the best Cape Fear area vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Ocean Isle Beach. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the perfect vacation home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Choose dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Skip to the Good Part! Amazing waterfront home 360views -5BR golf cart comm pool has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
