The roomy and sunlit interior provides a central entertainment hub in the center. Located in Ocean Isle Beach, this vacation home is on the waterfront. Museum of Coastal Carolina and Sunset River Marketplace are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Rees Jones Golf Course and Leopard's Chase Golf Club. Ingram Planetarium and Planet Fun are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself.   • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
