Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • To find the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the best vacation rental in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Choose your dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 3 Palm- 4 Bd 3 Ba Island Park Home 2 Blocks From Beach in Island Park! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If not, email the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • Does your family require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
