Come stay at the "Sand Froonie House" where all of your cares will be swept away! Located in the private Marsh Walk Community, you have private beach access conveniently located at the end of the street, about 75 yards away, and the use of a private community dock on the spectacular Intracoastal Waterway.

Updates for 2024 include new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops in the kitchen. Savor the private swimming pool with optional pool heat. This pool may be heated from September - May for an additional $500 fee per week. Please note that under optimal conditions, the pool can be heated 10 degrees above the outside temperature/max. of 87°F. Please call our office for more details as for optimal use, this service should be scheduled in advance.

This elegant inverted floor plan offers a well-appointed kitchen, entirely equipped with everything the chef in your life needs to show off their skills. There are four cavernous bedrooms with mounted TVs, and a cozy loft area with a game table ideal for the whole family. The living room area is sizable and open with a sectional for calming. This area is open to the kitchen and dining area, which has a enormous wooden table for 8 and an island. With four separate decks, you have plenty of space to sip your morning coffee while listening to the serene sounds of waves crashing against the shore! The huge, fenced-in backyard is the ideal place for hosting a cookout or playing all of your favorite outdoor games including corn hole (game supplied). Included in the rental you have an outside picnic table for dining al fresco, an outside shower and new polywood furnishings on all 3 decks!

Some of the extras this home has to offer are a Keurig and regular coffee maker, corn hole, slow cooker, Air fryer, food processor, huge cooking pots, and a charcoal grille. The owner invites you to use the trundle bed if needed, but you will need to bring or rent your own bed sheets and a blanket for this bed.

Embrace the warmth of southern 'Hobbspitality'! Appreciate a welcome set of starter amenities, including one roll of paper towels, trash bags, laundry and dishwasher pods, dish soap, and a sponge. All bathrooms include one roll of toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, makeup wipes, and bar soap. Your beds are made with fresh linens and a lightweight blanket, so you can jump right into making memories rather than making beds! While we provide a lightweight blanket, we urge you to bring additional layers for your comfort. Please note that while top bunk beds, trundles, sleeper couches, futons, and daybeds will not be made, we will provide fresh linens for them.

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Holden Beach. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.

  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
