We would adore to share our beach home with you and have you stay in either half of our splendid 8 bedroom half duplex. Holden Beach is an OUTSTANDING family beach that has not allowed tons of commercial development on the island. The beaches are pristine and the West End is a semi-private community with a gate to limit 'day-trippers'. Our home is well outfitted with any amenities that you might need during your stay. There are tons of body boards, chairs, and beach toys located in the lockable storage area under the home that have been included over the years for the enjoyment of others.

'M & M' has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Two rooms have private en-suite baths. There is room for the kids to play under the home with swings on each side and tons of room for younger kids to ride bicycles or scooters.

New for 2023: Upstairs Master bedroom has been upgraded to a King bed and all beds throughout the home have new bed sets. WiFi has been upgraded to the max. available on the island. The beach is looking great this year. There is always something happening at Holden Beach, nature can be found in all her wonder. This year the rabbits are plentiful although the deer population seems to be a little more reserved and more difficult to watch.

Come join us for a week in heaven: * One of the best rated, least busy and most beautiful family beaches found anywhere.
* Very Private, with marvelous ocean-vistas, decks and yet very close proximity to the beach (2nd row, only feet to private beach access.
* Tasteful, roomy and remodeled accommodations with much more space than most single family homes of similar price
* Approximately 40 world class golf courses within a 40-min. radius.
* Pristine & uncrowded wide white-sand beach
* Plenty of great dining choices, shopping and kids’s amusements, all within a 5-mile radius. New full-service grocery store located just across the bridge on the mainland, now open!
* 24-hour Super Wal-Mart

The beaches on the West End of Holden Beach are peaceful and wide. There is always room to throw a ball or Frisbee even on the busiest week of the year. Morning and evening walks are peaceful and calming. You will escape from your anxiety at Holden Beach.

Unwind and savor: Unwind and enjoy the rockers on the porch or the swings underneath the home. Inside you'll find a cavernous living area (roughly 1800 sq. ft of living space) with refreshed and tasteful decorations throughout.

Our property is very private, yet you're next to the beach, You will appreciate the location of our home. To walk onto the beach, you simply cross the street on a diagonal and walk down a comfortable wooden walkway to the beach. The beach has been maintained through the years as a family beach with little commercial emphasis.

Holden Beach is still a well-kept secret, perhaps not for long. National Geographic Intelligent Traveler magazine newly ranked Holden Beach among it's top 10 'Finest Family Beaches' category. Additionally, AAA Beach Vacation Travel Journal newly ranked H.B. one of their 'Top 30 Beaches' overall. H.B. offers a great alternative to the hordes and commercialism of close by N. Myrtle Beach, which is only roughly 30 miles away.

Getting the best vacation property experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by choosing the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. 4 Bd\/3+ Ba East side duplex: Gated community; quiet, exclusive, relaxing, family has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area beach you are crazy about, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Considerations for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
