Cape Fear area vacation rental booking tips:

Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Cape Fear area restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the perfect vacation rental:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. NEW LISTING- -CottageVacations4u \"Keepin It Reel\" canal home-on the water-close to beach and town has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area beach you simply love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
