Work or do school remotely with secure reliable WiFi powered by 1-Gig fiber internet.
1-Gig fiber optic Internet via an Orbi mesh WiFi router system delivers reliable hi-speed WiFi throughout the home so you can stay connected. Parents can work remotely, and kids can participate in distance learning with plenty of bandwidth for everybody.
The main living room has a 70-inch TV and the 2nd floor living room has a 55-inch TV. All 8 bedrooms have 55 or 42 inch flat screen intelligent HD TVs. The elevator goes from the ground level to the top floor (not the case in all homes with elevators). There are ceiling fans throughout the home, and the completely outfitted kitchen includes quartz countertops and a double oven.
The home has 8 bedrooms (6 Kings, 5 Twins, 1 Double, Futon), 6 1/2 baths, and can sleep 20 in beds. Have more than 20 people? No problem as our neighbor can accommodate another 20 people in a very similar floor plan. Great to accommodate family get-togethers, weddings and other events that bring you to the island. It has a reverse floor plan, so the kitchen, living room and main master bedroom are on the top (3rd) floor and have great vistas. The home has a private pool on-site, which we can heat in spring or fall. The dual, heated outdoor shower is convenient for rinsing off after returning from the beach, and the shower deck is made from Poly-Wood, so you don’t have to worry about splinters.
This incredible home is a 3-min. walk from the public beach access. It is located on the charming west end of Ocean Isle Beach (fewer homes than the east end = less busy beach). It is at the end of the paved section of West 2nd Street, so it is safe for kids with very little traffic. With undeveloped land on 2 sides, you'll have exceptional, vistas of the ocean and sound from the wrap-around decks on each level.
With six King bedrooms, this home works great for sizable, multi-generational family gatherings and vacations with multiple families. We have also hosted many church retreats and corporate retreats.

What to Bring: A complete linen package is included for all of our guests, and everything is freshly laundered each week (5 nighttime minimum stay). We do not provide beach towels or other beach gear. However, you can pack a little lighter, as we provide a beach cart, and rolling cooler for transporting kids, beach chairs, and beverages to and from the beach.
Conveniences: The home has a private pool which can be heated in the spring and fall additional costs may be charged. The pool area has resort grade furnishings, including reclining lounge chairs for sunbathing, as well as two tables and non-reclining chairs for pool-side dining. NEW for 2024 WE PROVIDE ACCESS (MAY-OCT) TO THE ISLES BEACH CLUB WHICH HAS AN ADDITIONAL LARGE POOL, HOT TUB, ACCESS TO BEACH, AND A RESTAURANT (MAX 12 GUESTS AT A TIME).
There is a full-sized refrigerator on the ground level to keep your pool drinks cold. We provide a number of pool toys and floats for the kids. ICE machine on the ground floor in the summer to fill coolers.
The enormous kitchen is well supplied with service for 20. It is equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a smooth-top 5-burner stove, double oven, microwave, toaster oven, 2 coffee makers, Keurig, Ninja blender, dishwasher, and French-door refrigerator/freezer with ice maker and filtered water. There are plenty of pots, pans, casserole dishes, mixing bowls, muffin pans, etc. Several guests have commented that this kitchen is better supplied than theirs at home.
We provide all of the basics: dish soap, dishwasher detergent, coffee filters, etc., and a starter supply of K-cups.
The home is also equipped with a stackable washer and dryer, as well as an iron and ironing board. There is a clothes line in the carport for hanging wet beach towels and bathing suits. Laundry detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets are all supplied.
Recreation: Of course, the main attraction is the beach but there are also many great golf courses within 15 mins. (and over 100 courses within a 20-mile radius of OIB). On the island, there is a miniature golf course and tennis courts. You can also rent bicycles or charter a fishing trip. The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located on the island. The OIB Property Owners Association sponsors a concert series every Friday evening during the summer at the new Ocean Isle Town Park in the center of the island.
Just off the island, you can find go-cart racing and more miniature golf. Silver Coast Winery is only 15 mins. from the island and offers tours and tastings. Myrtle Beach is only 45 mins. away and has everything from water parks to outlet malls to the NASCAR Speedpark. It is also home to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, a Class A minor league baseball team affiliated with the Chicago Cubs.
We are at the end of a lightly traveled street, so bicycle riding is a safe activity. Inside, there are toys and board games and a Sony PlayStation4 with mostly E-rated games.
Eateries: There are a number of eateries on the island, and more on the mainland. We do have a few favorites. For dinner, Roberto's, just off the island, is one of our favorites. The Bang-Bang Shrimp makes a great appetizer. The fish is always fresh and the pasta dishes are hard to beat. The pizza is so good we often have them prepare extras that we freeze and bring home. Roberto's also has a full bar.
Calabash, the 'Seafood Capital of the World,' is only 6 miles from OIB. For dinner, we adore The Boundary House. Capt. Nance's and Ella's both offer the typical fried fish, shrimp and hush puppies that made Calabash famed.
For breakfast, we like Castaways which is just off the island next to Tsunami Surf Shop, but it's modest so it doesn't work well for huge groups. Our other favorite is the Purple Onion Cafe in Shallotte which has giant pancakes, blueberry biscuits and fantastic raspberry cream cheese croissants. If you need a caffeine fix, Drift Coffee Bar is on the island near the museum and OIB Surf and Java is just off the island in the Lowes Foods shopping center.
The OIB Fish Company has a rooftop Tiki Bar and is on the island just before the bridge. The Sugar Shack is highly regarded for its Jamaican cuisine, but call ahead because it is usually busy.
Note - There are security cameras covering the driveway and front porch. There are no cameras indoors or with a view into the outdoor shower or pool.

How to book the best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • To get the best value, shift your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and picking the rightrental home:

  • Start by having your family commit to vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 8 Bedrooms, 7 Baths, Sleeps 20, Linens, Private Heated Pool, Elevator, Golf Near has 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
